Jess & Paul: Married

Jess & Paul: Married

You often hear the Greek island of Santorini being described as a 'bucket list' type of destination. With it's unique landscape, idyllic, quaint towns and postcard views, I can certainly see why.

So when Jess & Paul got in touch asking me to be a part of their wedding day it's fair to say the decision was an easy one. Le Ciel, on the outskirts of Imerovigli was the location for the most beautiful and intimate of ceremonies. With a handful of their closest friends and family in attendance, Jess and Paul's day was spectacular from start to finish.

It was also rather hot. Even now, I'm still not sure how the groomsmen managed in the mid-summer heat wearing a 3 piece suit! When it came to whisking the couple off for some photos, it was a photographers playground with incredible architecture, rustic details and panoramic views galore.  As you can probably tell, I rather enjoyed it!

Laura & Gavin

I've been looking forward to blogging this wedding for quite some time. Everything about this day looked magical. A woodland wedding with the most amazing details and a beautiful and kind couple who compliment one another wonderfully. Laura and Gavin both looked amazing and I'm so happy that their day was everything they had hoped for.

I'd heard so much about the plans for the woodland ceremony and I'm glad to say that it surpassed all expectations. Creating this wonderful outdoor space had been a real labour of love for Gavin and the team at Hirst Priory who had worked tirelessly in the weeks and months leading up to the big day to make sure it was perfect. Of course, all fingers and toes had been crossed for good weather and we weren't disappointed with a beautiful sunny day that allowed things to run as planned. With lawn games aplenty and the drinks flowing in the evening sun, this really was a day filled with love and happiness.

Here is the story of their day.

Donia & Noah: Married

This wedding was shot in the incredible city of New Orleans. Situated close to the bank of the Mississippi River, Donia and Noah had friends and family fly in from all over the States. Even they themselves had made the trip from their home in New York City.

Destination weddings always have a special feel to them and this particular one was just that for so many different reasons. During my short stay in 'NOLA', I was taken back by soul of the city and how friendly it was. I suppose that's why it's called 'Southern Hospitality'. No where could have provided a better back drop for a wedding like this.

The venue (Compass Point Events) was wonderfully intimate.  Yet at the same time it was incredibly vibrant in colour and full of character; something which was typical of the area. The whole occasion was a huge team effort. From the Wedding dinner the evening before right through to the ceremony itself, there wasn't a single person in attendance who hadn't contributed to Donia and Noah's day.

Donia and Noah are two wonderful people. My short time with them was enough to see how well they compliment one another. The whole day was filled with so much love and happiness and I am truly thankful I could be a small part of it.

Congratulations to you both.

Jess & Matt: Married

Jess & Matt: Married

It feels like an eternity since I shot Jess & Matt's engagement shoot back in 2014. So I suppose you could forgive me for saying that this wedding felt like a long time coming!

The entire day was spent at the wonderful setting of Healing Manor in the Lincolnshire countryside. The spring sunshine and blue skies soon descended into a mushy mess of grey clouds and drizzle, but that didn't come anywhere near close to ruining an amazing day with some great people and a perfect couple.

My favourite thing about Jess and Matt is they're the kind of people you can sit and chat to forever. They both have such genuine characters and their personalities complement each other wonderfully. I think you'll agree, they also look pretty damn good together!

Congratulations to them both!
