A wedding at Carlton Towers always looks spectacular at any time of the year... but a Christmas wedding is a whole new level!
Pippa and Liam’s wonderfully intimate day just a couple of days before Christmas was a joy to be a part of. With the huge Christmas trees, classic car, grand details and who can forget Pippa’s cape... this was a little bit of magic.
Any wedding day is special. However photographing the wedding day of two people you have known since your school days really does have that something extra. I suppose what I’m trying to say is it feels like an honour.
It's been the best part of 20 years since I was at comprehensive school with both Sam and Craig. Little did I know back then, that one day I would be photographing the biggest day of their lives.
This wedding had everything. Beautiful details, big laughs and lot's of emotion. There was barely a dry eye in the room when Sam walked down the aisle to stand alongside her soon to be husband.

Who cares that the weather isn't great when the autumn colours look this good? There’s something about those orange and red tones that just add a bit of extra magic to a wedding day. The bride (Sophie) looked absolutely stunning, as did the groom (Matt). Both were incredibly laid back and more than happy to brave the cold damp conditions to get some stunning shots on the magnificent grounds at Elsham hall.

When done right, simplicity really is best. The minimalist colour palette of Ella & Callum’s stunning wedding combined with the light airy setting of the exquisitely finished Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in Southwell was a sight to behold. This wedding looked like something fresh out of a magazine.
Ella and Callum looked incredible, along with their entire wedding party.
A packed dance floor, thanks to some amazing evening entertainment from Ellie Sax along with a warm summers evening ensured that this day just kept on giving right up to the very end.

Simply put, Megan and Brin’s wedding day was a dream to photograph from start to finish. A traditional church ceremony followed by a farm yard reception on a beautiful summers day. So much time, love and care had gone in to every aspect. Brin himself had worked tirelessly the weeks leading up to the wedding to get an old, unused (for weddings at least) barn ready for their reception. Many must have thought they were mad but after adding the beautiful hand picked details, an empty unloved space was truly brought to life. Throw in a vintage American muscle car, a stunning bride in the most elegant of dresses and host of smiling happy faces and you have a winning formula in my book.
When a couple put so much time and effort in to their wedding day, it’s impossible to not get sucked in to it and share that enthusiasm. I hope these photos give a taste of what was such a special day.

Sinead and Craig’s day was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. The week prior had seen a barrage of bad weather which left everyone fearing the worst. What rain we had was well timed, just as we were indoors for the speeches. The rest of the day was glorious sunshine. Healing Manor looked magnificent, as did the guests. Non more so the stunning couple.
Many people will remember the day for the amazing fireworks just as night fell. For me though it’s the look between Craig and Sinead during their couple’s portrait session. I’d struggle to find a pair who were as remarkably laid back as these guys. The love and smiles is there for all to see.
Posing Peacocks, scratch cards for all, a hell of a speech from the groom and a couple very much in love. Just some memories which spring to mind from this truly special day.
Elsham Hall has always been a favourite of mine. The grounds provide a beautiful backdrop no matter what time of year and what ever the weather. Kirsty and Matt’s wonderful day may have been about as overcast as they come, but it did nothing to dampen the spirits of the couple and their guests.
Having only photographed their pre-wedding shoot a few months prior in the Peak District, I knew exactly what to expect from Kirsty and Matt. They’re such a warm hearted, laid back couple who wanted nothing more than to enjoy a day with their closest friends and family.
Here is just a few favourites from their day.

This wedding had everything! A traditional yet beautiful church ceremony, a farm yard reception and a day full of wonderful vibes.
Jessica looked absolutely stunning in her Caroline Castigliano dress, probably the nicest I’ve photographed this year. With exquisite food and absolutely stunning flowers, this day was full of beautiful details.
It feels like an eternity ago that I met up with Lisa and Mark and discussed their vision for a beautiful summer wedding in the heart of Lincolnshire. Listening to their enthusiasm and the meticulous plans, it was impossible not to look forward to it and I’m glad to say, it certainly didn’t disappoint
The ceremony was in the most beautiful little chapel (St. Benedict’s), tucked away in the fields just outside Horncastle and the reception, just a stones throw away at Scrivelsby Walled Garden . So close in fact, all the guests walked across the long grassy fields from the church. A fantastic touch and something quite unique.
Once inside the garden, the couple were blessed in another ceremony by Mark’s father before the guests made the most of the garden games and sipped champagne. Soon after, the heaven’s opened and everyone ran for cover in the tent. I have to be honest, there were times when I didn’t think we’d see the sun again that day. However, as the tables were cleared and the couple danced along with their guests, we were treated to the most beautiful sunset, providing an opportunity for some glorious golden hour portraits.
Lisa and Mark’s wedding delivered in every possible way. Wonderful people in the most wonderful of settings.
